Services for Sampson Woods, 62, of Thermal, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Indio. Mr Woods, a native of Texas, died Wednesday in Rancho Mirage. He was employed by Uniroyal Rubber Co, for 25 years as a tire maker. Survivors include his wife, Velma; a daughter. Sandra Simpson of Los Angeles; a son. Robert Woods of Los Angeles; five sisters, Cassie Mae Scott of San Bernardino. Senofina McFadden of Perris. Josefine Williams and Leah Gale Jordan, both of Indio, and Ruby Caldwell of Thermal; and four brothers. Albert Woods of Los Angeles, Glen and Douglas Woods, both of Indio, and Roger Woods of Sacramento. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Fitz Henry Funeral Home Burial will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery
