Ruth Stone, 100, passed away Oct. 11, 2014, at Bay Vista Rehabilitation Center, Long Beach, Calif. She was born Dec. 22, 1913, the daughter of Bernard F. and Louise E. (Wustenfield) Adams.
She was a homemaker. On May 1, 1935, she married Vestal Stone in Hutchinson, Kan. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakewood, Long Beach, Calif. Survivors include: a son, Lloyd Stone of South Hutchinson, Kan.; two daughters, Cynthia Mackay of Lakewood, Calif., Janette Glenn of Ardmore, Okla.; a sister, Margaret Ikerd of Newton, Kan.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard, Paul, Harold and James Adams and sisters, Lois Lamkins Langdon and Esther Spangenberg.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with Pastor Jasper Franklin presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John.
