Ambrose B. Ballard age 59 passed away at his residence in East Thomaston Monday evening, July 3, 1933 following several months illness. He leaves his widow, five daughters, Mrs. Sherry Ellerbee, Misses Annie Lou, Frances, Edna Ruth and Jewell Ballard of Thomaston, one son, Mr. Willis H. Ballard of Thomaston; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Autrey, Mrs. Edna McNeil and mrs. Mary Odell of Griffin; two
brothers, Morgan L. Ballard of Griffin and Douglas Ballard of Bemis, Tenn., his mother, Mrs. Laura Ballard of Griffin and six grandchildren. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at the East Thomaston Baptist for which he had been a faithful member for many years, Reverends C. O. English his pastor, C. B. Ballard of Griffin his Former Pastor and George W. Mitchell who has been one of his closest friends for many years officiated at the funeral.
The interment was held in Shiloh Cemetery.
