Mrs. Minnie Lee Lambert Watkins, 92, of Santee, widow of James Edward Watkins, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at her home.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill, with Rev. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the funeral.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Georgetown, a daughter of the late John Aaron Lambert and Minnie Polk (Pope!) Lambert.

She retired as a school cafeteria supervisor. Mrs. Watkins was a member of St. Matthews Church of God and was a Sunday School teacher for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Watkins.

Surviving are daughters, Clara Bell (Larry) Jackson of Christmas, Fla., Patsy (Richard) Clemons of Santee, and Mertice Manning of Ashland, KY; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
