Ms. Evelyn Davis,55 died Jan.31,1991 in Hood River. She was born Aug.25, 1935 in Bingen to Wallace and Grace(Lewis)Davis. Her family moved to Glenwood when she was three years old.
She grew up in Glenwood and graduated from high school there. She had been very active in school functions such as volleyball, girls drill team and was high school cheerleader, she was secretary-treasurer of her freshman class and an A student. She was on the honer roll throughout high school. She attended Clark College in Vancouver but had to discontinue her education due to her health.
After the death of her mother in 1983 she moved to Hood River to be near her sister.She lived in adult foster homes and at the time of her death she was in the Hood River Care Center. Ms. Davis enjoyed reading, embroidery work, music, family and friends. She became totally blind in 1980 because of her illness.
She is survived by her sister Marilyn Hilton, Hood River and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were Feb.6,1991 at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon.
