Lawrence Alonzo Loveday was born on May 7, 1889, and died on June 13, 1972. Lawrence was the son of Samuel Henry Loveday and Rachael Meletta Maples. Lawrence married Bess Anna Moore on May 30, 1925, at Valley Creek in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Bess was the daughter of Mack Moore and Cornelia Fletcher. Lawrence and Bessie's children were; Lorraine Mae, Samuel Paul, Lillian and 4 children that died as infants; Lawrence, Myrtle Ruth, Mary Francis, and Yvonne. Lawrence served in the US Army during WWII. He worked for the coal mine at Fonde, Kentucky. After retirement Lawrence and Bess moved to Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
