The memorial service for Wanda May Hawkins, 81, of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Enid. The Rev. Keith Miller will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by National Cremation Service, Houston.

She was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Alva to Raymond and Mattie Beck Eller and died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Park Manor Nursing Home, Missouri City.

She made Enid her home for 58 years and was a graduate of Enid High School. She worked 37 years for Gold Spot Dairy and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, joining in November 1957.

She married Gene Raymond Hawkins June 2, 1946. They had been married 54 years at his death on December 12, 2000.

Surviving are one son, Larry Hawkins and his wife Lerleen; siblings, Leroy Eller, Frances Miller and Johnny "JB" Sidwell; and three grandchildren, Kristin Hawkins, Heath Hawkins and Lindsay Hawkins.

In addition to her husband, Gene, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Ann (Weber) Bisel and twin brothers, Sherman and Stanley Moore.

The family request no flowers. Memorials may be made in her name to First Baptist Church.
