Mary (Holland) Carroll Gwinn, 93, of Fernandina Beach, FL, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Florida.

Born January 24, 1921, in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Daisy Velle (Gillespie) Holland.

A minister's wife and homemaker, Mrs. Gwinn was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and former employee of Spartan Mills. She was a choir member, a Sunday School teacher, and enjoyed quilting and working puzzles.

Surviving are her children, Nancy Bates (Allen-deceased) of Etowah, TN, Judith Tinsley of Spartanburg, SC, Barbara Mills (Dalton) of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Martha Jones (Bobby) of Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Rev. J. Quinton Carroll and her second husband, Christopher Gwinn.
