Elmer Arnold "Chief" Drury was born on August 7, 1931 in Brantley County, Georgia, the son of William H Drury and Pearl Estus (Parrott) Drury.

He was married to Faye F Roake and was a retired Chief Petty Officer for the US Navy SeaBees and a retired Electrician for the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clarksville, Masonic Lodge 89, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Chief was 83 years old and a resident of Clarksville, Tennessee when he passed away on October 15, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bernerd Drury and Morris E Drury and by his sister Delree (Drury) Statts, he is survived by his wife; three daughters and two sons-in-law; two brothers; three sisters; and six grandchildren.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
