Was born December 26, 1921 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late James Timothy and Agnes (VanGaasbeck) Birney, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the age of 93. She was greeted there by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert; sons, Thomas and Kenneth; sisters, Genevieve (Donald) Rumsey and Rachel (Rev. Herman) Theetge; sisters-in-law, Kay McElwee, Toni Jones and Glenda Inman; brother-in-law, Ernest Inman. SHe was survived by her loving daughter, grandson, great grand-daughter, brother and brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Margaret was employed by Sears and Roebuck for 25 years in the Children's Department. She graduated from Waverly High School and the Baptist Bible Seminary. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and now the United Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School, was a Deaconess, a member of the American Baptist Women's and the Mission Belles.
