Daughter of Allan and Florence Manning Davidson, she married Joseph Sterner, was widowed, lived on Tingley Lane, Sandycreek Twp, Franklin, died there of fibrosis of pancreas due to cholecystitis and cholelithiasis, and diabetes, per death certificate 21507, whose informant was Mrs. Wayne F. Shreffler of Tingley Lane. Buried Feb 4 1960.

Mrs. Evelyn Mae Sterner, 52, a formerly of Meadville, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wayne F. Schreffler, Tingley Lane, with whom she lived. She was born in Franklin Jan. 15, 1908, the only child of Allan and Florence Manning Davidson.

She attended local schools there. After her second husband died, she lived part of the time with relatives in Meadville and part of the time in Franklin. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Meadville.

in January, 1925, in Meadville she married Andrew J. Johnston and lived there until his death in 1949. She returned to Franklin where in 1950 she married Joseph Sterner, who died in 1956.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Florence Neely of Franklin; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Barbara) Schreffler of Franklin, Mrs. Karl (Phyllis) Shaw and Mrs. Merle (Helen) McNamara of Meadville, and Miss Rosalee Johnston of Oil City; seven step-children, John Sterner, Mrs. Leslie (Frances) Bartlett, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) McCracken, all of Franklin, George Sterner of Oil City, Mrs. Mary Foster in Michigan, Samuel Sterner of Grove City, and Tom Sterner, of Fort Benning, GA, and six grandchildren. Deceased is a stepdaughter, Mrs. Al (Louise) Fry.
