Graveside funeral services for 68-year Big Pine and Lone Pine resident Dorothy Jean Bright, 74, will be held Friday, May 26 at the Big Pine Crocker Cemetery. Bishop Glenn Singley of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate. Mrs. Bright was born in Long Beach, Calif. on July 2, 1920. She was the daughter of Frank (Skeet) and Lois Smith, who moved to Big Pine in 1927. She attended school in Big Pine Unified District. She died May 22 at the Big Pine Care Center. Survivors include her sister, Lois Broady of Big Pine; two sons, Joe Bright Jr. of Big Pine and Rod Bright of Rock Springs, Wyo.; grandchildren John T. Bright, Dan Bright, and Tracy Bright of Bishop, Eric Bright of Reno, Nev.; Jennifer, Patricia, and Katrina of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe T Bright Sr.; her parents, and sister Eleanor Ludwick.
