He was born at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville on January 11, 1944 to Lambert and Florence Amrhein.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
For many years, he was cared for by his mother and sister. In his leisure hours, he enjoyed sports, bingo and being, most of all, with his family.
Survivors include three brothers, Larry Amrhein and friend Bonnie Kindred of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dennis (Marty) of Plainfield and Dan (Debbie) of Highland, Indiana, a sister, Carolyn of Connersville and her fiancé Jim Rogers of New Paris, Ohio, four nephews, Chris (Karen) of Arkansas, Tim (Beth) of Arcanum, Ohio, Joey (Rachel) of Connersville and Dr. David Amrhein of South Bend, Indiana and two nieces, Sherry Rader of Bradford, Ohio and Dana (Craig) Garvin of Brownsburg, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 11AM Wednesday, October 5, 2012; burial will be in Dale Cemetery – family and friends may call at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service.
