Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth Corpening Happoldt Price, 87, of Morganton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, 2:40 AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, while at the Burke Long Term Care Facility.
Born January 15, 1925 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Corpening and Ethel McGimpsey Corpening.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was also preceded in death by her daughter, Emmajean Elizabeth Happoldt Tapp, two brothers, Wilbert and Daniel Corpening, Jr., a sister, Maybelle Bryant and a niece, Frances Bryant.
Mrs. Price was a faithful member of the Logan Memorial Baptist Church, Morganton, where she served on the Ministerial Staff. She was also a member of the NAACP.
