Robert Elmer Foster, the son of Hugh and Juliet Foster, was born northwest of Memphis, Feb. 28, 1881 and died April 3, 1947 in the St. Joseph Hosp. in Ottumwa IA. He had been ill only a few days. He was united in marriage to Miss Ora M. Huggans, Sept. 15, 1904, at Memphis. To this union six children were born. He was preceded by his brother. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ora Foster and his children, Mrs. Nellie Stone and Mrs. Anna Mae Green of Memphis, MO., Mrs. Mildred Malen of Decatur, IL., Mrs. Mary Helen Hargis of Frankfort, KY., Edwin Foster of Jefferson, IN., Charles Foster of Santa Maria, CA., Nine grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Mr. Foster was a member of the Pleasanat Hill Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church by Rev. W. E. Longstreth. Burial in the Memphis Cemetery.
