15 AUG 2022 SAC to add link to his father.~Alonzo Berl Addington (Berl to everyone), 77, resident of Noble, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, due to complications from a fall he took while an in-patient at the VA hospital in Oklahoma City. Berl was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Konawa, to Terry and Retta (Kirkwood) Addington.

Berl worked at many jobs during his life. But he enjoyed working in the oil fields as a rough neck most of all. After his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool and pitching horseshoes with family and friends.

Berl was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

This was Berl's favorite time of year with Halloween being one of his favorite holidays. He cherished time spent with family and friends. You will be missed, brother, by everyone, but especially his life-long friend Tony McCarroll, his cousin, Curtis Arnold and his wife, Kathy.

Berl was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Retta Addington; one sister, Alice; three brothers, Joel, Dean and Terry; and one grandson.

Berl is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; one son, Brian Addington of Norman; one daughter, Neva Taylor of Green Forest, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Caballero of Oklahoma City and Kimberly Peery of Bethel Acres; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and interment will be 9 a.m. Friday at the Fort Sill National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Fletcher Funeral Home in Fletcher.
