Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late R. A. Cooper and daughter of the late C. B. Partin and Winnie (Davenport) Partin.
A graduate of Gaffney High School, Mrs. Cooper retired from The Cherokee Theatre, was an avid reader, and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Surviving are her honorary nieces, Lynn Clary of Gaffney and Marki Clarke of Atlanta, GA; honorary nephew, Bill Smith and wife, Debbie of Columbia; honorary brother-in-law, Bill Smith of Gaffney.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and honorary sister of over 70 years Margaret Smith.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Oakland Cemetery with Dr. Clyde Thomas officiating.
The family received friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
