Charles "Ferris" Breedlove, 95, of Bryson City passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014.

He was a lifelong resident of Swain County. He was the son of the late Jule and Mollie Breedlove.

He served with the U. S. Navy during WWII. He retired from the National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Breedlove; grandchildren Tyler Griffin and Tracy Revis, son in law Jack Revis; siblings Hubert Breedlove, Lillian McLean, Grace Fullerton, and Leslie Falco as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his three daughters, one son, one grandson, two granddaughters, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

He will always be remembered by family and friends for his strong work ethic into his 90s, offbeat sense of humor, love of family, good food, and bluegrass music.

He was most likely the oldest member of Arlington Baptist Church where he attended regularly during his lifetime.

Private family services were held at 11:00 am Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Travis officiated with burial in the Arlington Cemetery.
