Ruth Hopkins Scroggs, 80, of Tiger, died from Injuries received in an automobile accident. She was the widow of Frank Scroggs, Jr.
Born in Rabun County October 18, 1928, She was the daughter of the late William and Lizzle Page Hopkins. She was a Manager of convenience stores for a number of Years. She was a Baptist by Faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scroggs. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Melba and Joe Drexler of Rabun Gap, Ga., Stella and Olin McCrackin of Anderson, SC., Cheryl and Johnny Shirley of Clarkesville, Ga., Sandra Ivester of Tiger, Ga., Jackie and Monty Key of Toccoa, Ga. two sisters, Frances Watts of Akron, Ohio and Margie Rogers of Wellington, Alabama, 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
