Funeral services for Mrs. Loren (Ada Garland) Buzzard, 78, of Bedford, held May 23 in Shum-Novinger Funeral Home, were officiated by Rev. Dwayne Madsen. Mrs. Buzzard died May 20, 1984 in her home near Bedford. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Bedford.
Ada Garland Buzzard, daughter of Edna and Joseph Bird, was born September 21, 1905 in Parnell, Mo. She lived in Nodaway County and grew to maturity in the Maple Grove community. She attended the Maple Grove Methodist Church and attended public schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Garland was united in marriage to Loren Buzzard on February 28, 1926 and they lived on a farm near Hopkins, Mo. To this union two children were born: Helen Rogers and Lois Ohn.
Mrs. Buzzard was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and an infant sister.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Loren; two daughters: Helen and her husband, Delbert Rogers, and Lois Ohn; three grandchildren: Mary Lou Bowman and her husband, Jack, Jeanne Crawford and her husband, Dennis and Justin Martin Ohn; two great grandchildren: Nathan and Keri Beth Crawford; one sister, Neva Crane; one brother, Dale Bird.
