Mary Jean Adams Yount, age 71, of Pleasureville, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. She was a member of Pleasureville Christian Church, and daughter of the late Arthur and Laurel Sutton Adams.

She is survived by one daughter, Stacey Lott, Catoosa, Oklahoma; one son, Robert "Bo" Moody, Bethlehem; two step daughters: Mrs. Kelly (Sharon) Nichols, Waddy; Mrs. Rick (Patti) Hardesty, Shelbyville; one step son, James Darrell Yount, Shelbyville; one sister, Joan Peak, Jeffersonville; one brother, Lowell T. Adams, Pleasureville; five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Yount and one son, David "Rick" Moody.

Funeral services will be today (Wednesday, February 9) at 2 p.m. at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Rucker, pastor of Port Royal Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be John Shuck, Gilbert Peak, Chris Dunavent, Brian Shuck, Bobby Moody, and J.T. Oliver.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 1941 Bishop Lane, Suite 110, Louisville, KY 40218.
