Funeral services for Robert Larry Conn will be held at 11: 00 AM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at The Pentecostals of Alexandria with the Rev. Anthony Mangum officiating. Interment will follow in the Malone Cemetery, Ball, La. under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Robert Larry Conn, 63, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 11, 2014, in his residence.
Larry was a native and lifelong resident of Ball. He was the co-owner of Conn's Texaco in Ball for the past 45 years. He was a Rapides Parish School bus driver for 27 years. He served as a former Ball Police Reserve Officer and a Volunteer Fireman for Ball Fire Department. Larry was a member of The Pentecostals of Alexandria. He loved life, people and always put his Lord and his family first.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Susie James Conn; his mother, Jewel Yvonne Conn; his son, Jason Conn; his brother, Mike Bruce.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Shannon Conn of Ball; his father, George "Dubb" Conn of Ball, his daughter in law, Amy Conn of Ball; his cousins, Greg Woodruff of Shreveport and Teresa Jones of Shreveport. Also survived by three grandchildren, Liam Conn, Alasyn Conn and Carmyn Conn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at The Pentecostals of Alexandria from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
