Gladys M. Blackburn, age 92, of Summitville, IN, (formerly of Fairmount) died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Summit Convalescent Center in Summitville, IN. She was a member of the Fairmount Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and chicken and foot at the convalescent center. Raising 5 children she learned to garden, canning, and making clothing for her children.
Gladys was the daughter of the late Jesse A. "AB" and the late Alice R. (Rinehart) Hasty-Mason born February 26, 1922 at Wheeling, IN.
She married Claud V. Blackburn, September 21 1939 in Marion, Indiana the were married 65 years at his death November 23, 2004.
Survivors include One Daughter: Linda L. Burgan, Fairmount, IN One Son:
Jimmie L. Blackburn, Fairmount, IN Daughters-in-laws: Pauline Blackburn and Brenda Blackburn both of Fairmount. Sisters-in-laws: Gracie Meyer, Marion and Tomoka Blackburn, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by son, Melvin R., Thomas D., and Terry A. Blackburn. Brother, Paul Hasty and sisters, Jessie Owen, Alma Crist, Hilda Griffin, Ruby Reece, Betty Williams and Ruth Hasty. Great Grandson, Kurt Blackburn.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday October 15, 2014 at the Fairmount Chapel, Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN with Rev. Ernie Laughner officiating. Interment will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana.
