Born June 8, 1929, in Berea, Ky., he was the son of Charles C. and Martha Jane (Lamb) Alexander. He married Stella Mae Keeton on Jan. 15, 1949, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 1997.
Survivors include: sons, Langley W. (wife, Rita) Alexander of Shelbyville amd James B. Alexander and Robert J. Alexander, both of Indianapolis; daughters, Anna Louis (husband, Jerry) Flynn of Shelbyville, Sylvia J. Alexander of Nineveh, Wanda S. (husband, Gordon) Milby of Flat Rock and Barbara C. (husband, Bobby) Wade of Edinburgh; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Alexander had lived in this area for several years, having previously lived in Madison County, Ky.
He was a husband, father, mechanic and a minister at the Church of God of Prophecy.
Bob loved spending time with his family.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Danny Carter officiating.
Burial will be in Red Lick Cementary in Madison County, Ky.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice of Indiana in care of the funeral home.
