Mrs. Myrtle Buckley Harper of Minden died Friday, Aug. 31 at Minden Medical Center after an extended illness. She was 86.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2:30 p.m. at the Minden Cemetery. Dr. Ronald Prince officiated. Services were under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
A native of Neuton, Miss., Mrs. Harper was a journalist and a homemaker. She was the owner of the Minden newspaper for nine years. Her affiliations include the First Baptist Church of Minden and the Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Harper Jones of Shreveport; two granddaughters, Cindy Harrison of Minden and Karen Williams, also of Minden; three great grandchildren, Taylor Harrison, Laura Harrison, and J. Caitlyn Williams, all of Minden.
