Passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw; age 83 years. Ken was born on January 24, 1931 in Saginaw, MI to the late Kenneth and Emma Davis. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1953. Ken worked for General Motors for over 25 years until his retirement in 1989. He married Lynne Tolasch on July 18, 1997. Ken was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion and Tin Can Sailors.
Ken is survived by his wife Lynne and his children: Deborah (John) Buckley of Mesa, AZ, Patrick (Diane) Davis of Saginaw,MI, Kendra (Tori) Patterson of Rochester, IN, and stepdaughter, Dawn (Michael) Kalkman of Reese, MI; grandchildren: Joshua (Gabrielle) Buckley, Stephanie Buckley, Caitlyn Patterson, Nathan Patterson, Trevor Kalkman, Courtney Kalkman; 2 great-grandchildren: Grace Buckley, Renner Buckley; sisters: Margaret (Robert) Zoromski of Bridgeport, MI, and Mary Ann (Robert) Ureche of Saginaw, MI.
Ken was preceded in death by 4 infant sons and 3 brothers.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery. Ken’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. There will be a Vigil Service on Wednesday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
