SUDDEN DEATH OF AGED WOMAN
Body of Nancy Jackson Brought to This County For Burial
Mrs. Nancy Jackson, widow of Jack [William H.]Jackson, died Tuesday [April 18] night, at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Lillie Hasty, in Fort Wayne, where she spent the past winter. She was past eighty years of age and in good health, apparently until after supper Tuesday evening when she was stricken and passed away a short time later. The O. W. Nutt ambulance, of Carmel, went to Fort Wayne, Wednesday and brought the body to the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Landis, two miles east of Carmel. The funeral will be held some time Friday but the hour and place have not yet been determined.
Prior to going to Fort Wayne last fall Mrs. Jackson lived in this city in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lela Crist, of this city. Mr. Jackson, the second husband, died three years ago. Her first husband was Elbert Middleton, who died a number of years ago. The deceased and Mr. Middleton resided in the White Chapel neighborhood in Delaware township for many years and were well known in the southern part of Hamilton county.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by the following children; Mrs. Lillie Hasty of Fort Wayne, at whose home her death occurred; Mrs. Lela Crist, of Noblesville; Mrs. James Landis, living east of Carmel; John Middleton of this county and Mrs. Mary Hanson, of Chicago.
