DAVENPORT--Chris H. Anderson, 86, former mayor of Stockton, died at the Wilton Junction Nursing home this morning after an extended illness.
He was born March 29, 1884 at Stockton.
He married Laura Moeller in 1907.
Mr. Anderson had served as a rural mail carrier for a number of years.
He is survived by a grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hill and Fredericks Mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.
