He was born in Wheeling March 12, 1897, son of William and Ella (Morris-Tisher) Welshans.
He was a retired employee of Blaw Knox Co., a veteran of World War I and a member of Way Memorial Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorris Spencer Welshans;three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Madelane) Munas of El Paso, Tex., Mrs. Pete (Dorris) King, Warrick, RI, and Mrs. Edward
(Joy) Thomas of Martins Ferry, OH; a sister, Mrs. Naomi Caruthers, Pittsburgh; eleven grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home,Bridgeport, 7 to 9 this evening and Sunday 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Velma Gasber officiating.
Burial in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport.
