Family Info: his father was a Civil War vet (1st Sgt) of the Oneida (NY) Independent Cavalry Co and after the war, moved from Oneida, Madison Co, NY to Richmond to try his hand at farming down there. Harry was born during this time. Within a few years, the family moved back to Oneida, Madison Co. Harry was the middle of 5 children, the rest born in NY - Cordelia Rebecca Dyer (b. July 1967), Daisy Belle Dyer (b. 28 Feb 1869), Harry, Arthur George Dyer (b. Feb 1873) and William Burton Dyer (b. Nov 1874). His father died in 1905 and in 1910 his mother married her second husband Jessie D. Knowlton. Clarissa outlived her son Harry, dying 15 Aug 1931 in Williamsville NY. She is buried next to her first husband George Burton Dyer in Glenwood Cemetery in Oneida, Madison Co., NY.
Harry drove a meal wagon for Rockefeller Oil Company.
Harry died of pneumonia on 12 November 1925 in Syracuse NY, having moved from Carthage shorthly before his death.
