Marie Doshier died at the age of 93 on October 8, 2014 at John Sealy Hospital
She was a resident of Galveston for 64 years.

She was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on June 24, 1921 to Floyd and Ollie Harper.
She was the oldest of three daughters. She grew up in Antlers and married George W. Doshier on April 23, 1938. She raised three daughters and worked full time at ANICO for 35 years. After retirement, she volunteered for hospice in Galveston and offered her services to complete annual income tax returns to friends and family.
She was a faithful member of Broadway Church of Christ in Galveston. She served as a trustee of the church, spent countless hours visiting members in the hospital, opened her home to many who needed a place to stay while a family member was hospitalized and did correspondence for the World Bible School.

She is survived by daughters: Fredda Sue Anderson (Edward); Gerrie Kramer; Karen Smith (Carl). She 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George, her sisters, Rose Harper and Edna Capers.

The viewing will be on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 5-7 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, 2128 Broadway St.,Galveston. Burial will follow the service at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock. The service officiants are Allen Isbell and Larry Smith. Pallbearers are Scott Anderson, Trey Cooksey, Jonathan Turpin, Bryce Sonnier, Armando Cardenas, David Capers and Joe Knox as an honorary pallbearer.
