Passed away May 20, 2012 at the age of 52. He was born October 13, 1959 in Los Angeles, CA to Michael and Capitola (Owens) Estkowski.
Joseph was united in marriage to Terri Beck on December 28, 1991.
Joseph loved the arts and shared his love by teaching art and animation classes at KIA as well as at KVCC. Besides art, among his many other interests were being involved with politics and watching zombie, sci-fi and animated movies. He also loved animals, especially his dogs, Squirt, Montie and J.J.
Surviving Joseph are his wife, Terri Estkowski; his mother, Capitola "Tola" Estkowski; brothers, Michael (Bonnie) Estkowski and Chris (Kathy) Estkowski; nieces and nephews, Matt and Lauren Estkowski, Jacob, Jeremy and James Estkowski, Joseph, Joshua and Elizabeth Estkowski; and mother and father-in-law, Jackie & Larry Beck.
Preceding Joseph in death was his father, Michael.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where services will take place Wednesday, 3:00 o'clock.
Memorials may be directed to KVCC Center for New Media Animation Program or to the Adult Make-A-Wish Foundation.
