LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. - T.G. McKnight , 79, Winchester Ky., formerly of Laurel County, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at his residence.
A native of Laurel County, he was born May 26, 1932, the son of the late Curtis McKnight and Martha Bowling George. He was a retired substation foreman from Eastern Kentucky Power, a U.S. Army veteran and member of Central Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, H.B. McKnight .
Survivors include his wife, Loretta "Jo" Henson McKnight ; a son, Mark Alan McKnight , Winchester, Ky.; a sister, Daisy M. Baker, London; brother-in-law, Larry (Ann) D. Henson; sister-in-law, Mary McKnight ; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, until the noon funeral hour at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, Winchester, Ky.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the Old Salem Cemetery, Laurel County, with Jamie Maxey officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the local DAV.
Bowling Funeral Home will be in charge of local arrangements.
