We lost our strong, beautiful and loving, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and great-grandma. We are thankful for all the wonderful memories and we’ll cherish the many years we shared with her.
Loa Mae peacefully passed away at her daughter’s home in Taylorsville, Utah on May 17, 2014. She was born November 24, 1922 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Chris and Rhoda Thompson Hreinson. Later they moved to Coke Oven Row in Castle Gate.
In 1946, she settled down in Helper with the love of her life, Rudolph Zaccaria. They were married October 31, 1945 in San Francisco.
Mom‘s joy in life was raising her 5 children, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved bowling, playing bridge, BYU, and the Atlanta Braves. She also loved watching her grandkids play baseball.
Survived by her children, Darryl (Judy), David (Ann), Trudy (Billy), and Robert (Susan); 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Rudy, son, Dean; parents, Chris and Rhoda; sisters, Grace, Margaret, Freda, Fay, Bernice and Blanche; and brothers, Clifford and Chris.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery at a later date.
