Born here and a resident of Westbrook all her life, Mrs. Manchester was the daughter of George & Lulu Gowen Bailey.
She was a charter member of Pride's Corner Union Church, and treasurer since its founding in 1912. She was the secretary of the Ladies' Aid and a member of the Community Club.
Surviving are two aunts, Mrs. Howard Lowell, Portland, and Mrs. Adelaide Winslow, Standish; several cousins and stepchildren. Mr. Manchester died in February of 1951. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Pride's Corner Union Church. Interment will be in Highland Lake Cemetery.
