Georgetta M. Batt, 91, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 15, 1923, in Muncie, the daughter of Howard and Delphia Vining Bell. She attended school in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1941.

She served in the Navy during World War II.

Mrs. Batt was an inspector at Sheller Globe in Montpelier prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed playing bingo.

Surviving are her children, Ervin Batt, Jr., Robert Batt, (wife, Susie), Jerry Batt, (wife, Pamela), Cherie Billingsley, (husband, Frank), Randy Batt, (wife, Joy), Donald Batt, Sr., (wife, Cheryl), Kathy Dalton, Danny Batt, (wife, Renee), and Mark Batt; twenty eight grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Batt; a granddaughter; two brothers; and two sisters.
