Elizabeth "Bettie" Nelson was the third daughter of Sarah Jane McFaddin and James Harvey Nelson who came to Ozan, Arkansas in 1854 from South Carolina. Bettie married Dr. Thomas Jefferson Draper on Dec. 22, 1887 at Ozan,AR. They had the following children Harvey Nelson, Susan Cowling, Frances Champion, Ruth Jefferson, Anna Lou and Lilly Belle Draper.
