He was the son of the late Fred and Mary Smith Colbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Shirley Colbaugh, two daughters, Mary Sue Nidiffer and Barbara Colbaugh, and a son, Glen Colbaugh.

He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Colbaugh was a member of Borderview Christian Church and a former Sunday School Teacher, former Deacon and former Assistant Sunday School Director.

Mr. Colbaugh retired from Bemberg Corporation after 36 years of service, and was also retired from North American Rayon Corporation after five years of service. He was a Carter County Commissioner for eight years.

Funeral services were conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 25, in the Autumn Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home.

Graveside services and interment were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 26, at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
