She was born on September 6, 1926 in Schulyer County to Vern and Edna Agans Diseron. She married Ivan Vancil on Deccember 24, 1944 in Rushville. He passed away on October 29, 2001.
She is also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Maurice, Donald and Russell Diseron.
She is survived by two sons, Cecil (Doris) Vancil of Bushnell and Paul (Jenny) Vancil of Prairie City; one sister, Betty (Charles) Shelts of Rushville; two brothers, Wayne (Helen) Diseron of Rushville and Richard (Ruth) Diseron of Huntsville and two sisters-in-law, Karen Diseron of Rushville and Alberta Diseron of Macomb.
Vera has lived in McDonough County since 1967 and worked on the farm with her husband for many years. She worked for the Circuit Clerks office for 25 years.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
