F.L. Newman, age 81 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at his home.

The son of Fate and Eva Mae (Hudson) Newman was born April 27, 1933 in Locust, Arkansas.

F.L. was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired supervisor for the City of Harrison Street Department. He used the CB handle "Elmer Fudd" and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed 4-wheeling and hunting. He was a member of Odd Fellows.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Anna Louise (Cheek) Newman and Anita Newman; two brothers, Elmer L. Newman and Elnor D. Newman; and a sister, Edith Justus.

Survivors are his children, Tim Gilley of Dogpatch, Sheila Sisco and husband Mark of Harrison, Ralph D Gilley, Jr. and wife Carol of Harrison, Robert Newman of Florida, Randy Henderson of Everton, Cindy Jo Newman of Oklahoma, and Michael Newman of Kansas; brother, Marion Newman and wife Vickie of Zinc; sister, Eva Stanley of Harrison; grandchildren, Dakota Gilley, Jessica Blevins and husband Aron, Harley Sisco, Dalton Gilley, Bryce Gilley, Michael and Michelle Newman, and Clint Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Kade and Brant Blevins.

Visitation 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Graveside service and burial will be 2 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Richardson Cemetery near Zinc with Mike Moore officiating.

Pallbearers are David Newman, Aron Blevins, Clint Henderson, William Johnson, Bill Creamer, and Blaine Lawrence.

Honorary pallbearers are Harley Sisco, Jessica Blevins, Dakota Gilley, Bryce Gilley, Dalton Gilley, Megan Honeycutt, Harry Wagoner, and Austin McLlellan.
