She was born March 22, 1937 in Richmond, Kentucky, the daughter of Everette and Alma May Agee Applegate.
On August 2, 1952, she was married to Milton Long in Richmond, Kentucky and they moved to Connersville in 1966. Mr. Long died November 4, 1996.
A member of the Garrison Creek Baptist Church, her husband had served as the founding pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Connersville, where he had served from 1982 until 1992.
During her leisure time, she had enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and going fishing.
Survivors include: two daughters: Vickie Hankins and husband, Gerry and Bonnie Moore and husband, Robert, all of Connersville; two sons: Rickie Long and wife, Sheliah and Lonzie Long, all of Frankfort, KY; seven granddaughters: five grandsons; ten great-grandchildren one sister: Mildred Agee of Richmond, KY; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband of 44 years, Milton Long, she is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Tim Fluty and Brother Orbin Long, her brother-in-law, at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Fund.
