Ferrell Adams Browning of Wilmington died Sunday October 5, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born August 26, 1916 in Johnston County NC daughter of the late Jesse Benton Adams and Edith Dunn Adams and was preceded in death by her husband Rev. David Douglas Browning, son Jesse David (J.D.) Browning and his wife Cynthia, grandson, Jesse Browning, brothers, Leon Adams, Cleo Adams, sisters, Pearl Lee and Lois Tart. Ferrell was a very active and devoted member of United Advent Christian Church and many churches that her husband served. Surviving are her daughters Ruby Browning Justice and husband Jack of Leland and Katie Browning Brinkley and husband Eston Jr. of Kure Beach, grandchildren; David Justice (Terri), Gary Justice (Rebecca), Eston Brinkley III (Annie) Adam Brinkley (Nicloe) Jennifer Browning and Jed Browning, ten great grandchildren, many numerous nieces and nephews that she loved. Special thanks to her caregiver Annette Mintz. A funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday October 8, 2014 at United Advent Christian Church, burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 7pm Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. Flowers are welcome. Condolences to the family at www.andrewsmortuary.com.
