Zelia Mae Wolfe Painter Allen

Zelia Mae Wolfe Allen, 92, formerly of 4335 Old Furnace Road, Cherokee Springs, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Valley Falls Terrace Nursing Home. She was the widow of Edwin Allen.

She was first married to the late Charles W Painter.

Mrs Allen was a native of Cherokee Springs and was a daughter of the late Claude and Lizzie Camp Wolfe. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Cherokee Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Jo Anne and Jack Jones of Cherokee Springs; grandchildren, Bob Moon and Janice Moon, step-grandchildren, Roy, Nelson and Don Jones; great-grandchildren, Jamie Moon-Merrell and husband, Ben of Charleston, SC, Jeff Moon, Jim Moon and Dusty Moon of Cherokee Springs; great-great-grandchildren, Mara Moon, Dawson Moon and Jae Moon. She was predeceased by a grandson, Bill Moon, five sisters, and three brothers.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2007, at 12:00 Noon, at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Bill Lark will officiate.
