George Ervin Glover, age 78 of El Dorado, formerly of Bernice, LA passed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. George was born on February 27, 1936 in Shreveport, LA to the late Ruth Ann (Griffin) Glover and Dr. Oscar Eugene Glover. George was a US Marine Corp Veteran and was a retired spray painter for Prescolite, serving 36 years before his retirement. George was a Die Hard Razorback fan and loved going to gospel concerts, especially Ivan Parker's.
George was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister; one granddaughter, Jennifer Smith and one stepson, Donald Ray Ball.
Those left to cherish his memory include; his wife, Eloise Glover of El Dorado; one daughter Sylvia Glover Smith; two step daughters, Kay Nicholson, Diane McMullan and husband Randall all of El Dorado; two step sons, Ricky Ball and wife Tonya Lynn and Jim Ball and wife Joann all of El Dorado; one special cousin, Donald Griffin and wife Carolyn of Sterlington, LA also, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.D Weido officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado
