DEATH TAKES PENNY TATE, 9
Penny Mae Tate, daughter of Albert L. and Edith M. (Buttner) Tate, was born Dec. 7, 1963 at Axtell, Ks., and departed this life Nov. 24, 1973 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lincoln, Nebr., at the age of nine years, 11 months and 17 days. She had been sick since Oct. 12, 1973. She was a happy little girl. She loved to fish and be outdoors, and was a good helper. Penny was a fourth grader in the Pawnee City Schools. She lived her first four years in Seneca and moved to Pawnee City Schools. She lived a full enjoyable life doing things she loved to do.

One brother, Lonnie preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1967.

She is survived by her parents, Albert and Edith Tate, two sisters, Roxanne Marie and Brenda and two brothers, Chris Leroy and Andrew Charles. Her grandmother, Mary Alice Tate, Minnesota and Dorothy Buttner of Seneca, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
