JOHN E. LANE, FORMER ROFF CITIZEN, DEAD.

The body of John E. Lane, who died at Telephone, Texas, Sunday, was brought to Ada Tuesday afternoon and interred at Rosedale cemetery, Rev. W.M. Crutchfield conducting the funeral service. The Oklahoman Tuesday carried the following account of his death:

John E. Lane, former member of the Oklahoma City Police force, died at Telephone, Texas, Sunday, according to information received here yesterday. Burial will be at Ada, Okla., today. He was 67 years old, and is survived by the widow, four sons and three daughters.

The names of the sons and daughters follow:
Dr. W.H. Lane, Telephone, Texas;
Dennis Lane, Prague, Oklahoma;
Robert Lane, Norman, Oklahoma;
C.C. Lane, Ada, Oklahoma;
Mrs. Del Cordell
and Mrs. Perley A. French, of Oklahoma City.

Mr. Lane moved to Oklahoma City in 1906 from Roff, Oklahoma, and served on the police force during the Scales administration. He moved to Telephone, Texas, about a year ago.
