James Gregory Bujak
age 67, of Belleville, MI, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Karmanos Cancer Center, Detroit, MI. He was born December 8, 1946 in Ypsilanti, MI, son of Stephan & Annie (Marchywka) Bujak.
Mr. Bujak proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Jervis B. Webb, now Daifuku Webb, after many years of loyal service. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville, the Belleville Moose Lodge #934, and Farm Bureau. He enjoyed farming, and loved babies and babysitting his great-nieces and nephews. Most people will know him because he was a fixture at the Metro Party Store on the corner of Haggerty and Huron River Drive.
Jim is survived by daughter Susan (Robert) Webb of Wayne, MI, grandson Mason Webb, two sisters Joyce Bujak and Elizabeth (Ken) Phillips, both of Belleville, brother William Bujak of Michigan, 5 nieces & nephews John (Sunshine) Bujak of Canton, MI, Sarah Bujak of Rothbury, MI, Stephanie Alvarez of Montague, MI, Michael Bujak and Amanda Bujak, both of Belleville, 4 great-nieces & great-nephews Jackson Bujak, Annalyn Bujak, Helena Phillips and Brayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, also a brother Thomas Bujak.
Visitation will be Thursday 3-8 PM with a 7 PM Scripture Service at David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville. In-state 10:00 AM Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville with an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Father Thomas H. Cusick will serve as Celebrant. Entombment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
