Larry Dean Whitlatch was born on Aug. 30, 1948 in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Smith) Whitlatch. He graduated from Melcher High School. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict
Larry worked for many years at the Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company in Des Moines. He then worked for AEA for several years in maintenance before his health forced his early retirement.
Larry passed away May 23, 2009 at his residence in Bondurant, Iowa at the age of 60.
Those left to mourn his passing are his daughter Shelly Warrick and her husband John of Prairie City; three grandchidren; his twin brother Gary, brother David; mother, Louise Meyers and many nieces, nephew and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father Frank Whitlatch and one brother, George Whitlatch.
