John D. Lowmon, 85, died Oct. 14 at Satilla Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Ellijay and a resident of Pierce County most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bristol Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Ruby Blalock Lowmon of Mershon; four sons, Horace D. and Wendell Lowman and John W. Lowman Sr., all of Mershon, and W. Dewey Lowman of Patterson; a sister, Lucille Goble of Mershon; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Friday at Bristol Baptist Church, burial, Bristol Cemetery. Savannah Now, Oct 1998
