She was a member of the Nappanee Church of the Brethren, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilary and the Nappanee War Mothers. Her son Paul served in WWII and her grandson Donnie served in Vietnam. She was a charter member of the Get Together club in Nappanee.
She had three children, a son, Paul and two daughters Phyllis and Norma who married Leman brothers. At the time of her death, she had seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
Rev. Alvin Shifflet, Pastor of First Brethren Church officiated at her funeral service. Burial was at Bremen Cemetery.
